New Roman Missal

W e started using the Roman Missal 3 beginning the 1st week of Advent , which was Sun. Nov. 27th. If you haven’t heard been able to hear the explanations of why we’re changing the Missal, go to vimeo.com and type in Roman Missal in the explore box. You’ll then have a choice of High school, Middle school , or Adult & Parents version. to look at.

It’s really an exciting time in the history of the church. Come be a part of becoming a truly universal church ( which is what Catholic means), using universal language. throughout the world,not just the US or English speaking countries.

We’re back to being the biblically based church we’ve always been. Let’s celebrate in a deeper way, every time we experience the Mass !

FIRST FRIDAY DEVOTION TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS

Will start at 10 AM in the Corfu Church with Mass followed by Adoration of the Eucharist. On the frist Fridays of the month there is no 8AM Mass.

We bless you for your unfailing goodness. May we love you with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. We pray that you keep us awake and watchful. May we recognize your real presence in every moment of our lives. Transform our hearts from stone-blocked tombs into life-giving temples where we may find you, with the Blessed Virgin Mary, and live in your grace so that one day we may be with you for ever in paradise.

FIRST FRI. MASS BEGINS IN OCT.- 10 AM MASS (not 8am)

Beginning on the first Friday in October, Oct.7th, a First Friday Devotion will be held from Oct.2011-June 2012 . On these first Fridays of the month, the Mass for the day will be held at 10AM and not 8AM. The First Friday Devotions are a set of Catholic devotions to especially recognize the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and through it offer reparations for sins.
